The flocculation plant mainly consists of four parts: the liquid flocculant mixing system, the metering dosing system, the safety system, and the control system. Solid chemicals are added to the dissolving box for about 10 minutes. Afterward, industrial water is added in proportion and stirred to dissolve. The resulting solution is then transferred to the dosing point through the metering dosing system. The dosing control is primarily manual, but it can also be automated according to the control signals from the upper system to automatically add polymer.

For example, when the industrial circulating cooling system is running, factors such as water hardness, alkalinity, pH value, concentration ratio, air temperature, and ambient humidity combine to create tendencies for scaling or corrosion. These tendencies can negatively impact the safety and operating efficiency of the circulating cooling system. To prevent scaling or corrosion, it is necessary to manually add corrosion inhibitors or antiscalants to the water. Commonly used corrosion inhibitors and antiscalants include polyphosphates, zinc salts, polyoxometalates, and phosphonates. Therefore, a flocculation plant is needed.
