Bar Screens

Operating Procedures

Operators should be familiar with the structure and working principle of the coarse/fine bar screens.

Ensure the motor power supply is correctly connected, and the supply voltage is normal.

The operation procedure for starting and stopping the coarse bar screen in the plant area is as follows: Switch to "Manual" mode, press the "On/Stop" button to start, and press the "On/Stop" button again to stop. Observe the indicator light during operation. Alternatively, switch to "Remote Control" mode for operation controlled from the central control room.

The operation procedure for starting and stopping the coarse bar screen at the pumping station and the fine bar screen in the plant area is as follows: Switch to "Manual" mode, turn the "Open" button counterclockwise and press the "Close" button to start, and turn the "Open" button clockwise to stop. Observe the indicator light during operation. Alternatively, switch to "Automatic" mode for operation controlled from the central control room.

Before starting the bar screen, check the duty log and observe whether there are any large obstacles in the inlet channel. If so, remove them first.

Before starting, ensure that the drive chain and rake chain are free of obstructions, properly tensioned, and well lubricated.

Ensure the lubricating oil level in the motor gearbox is correct, the oil quality meets requirements, and the vent is unobstructed.

Start the motor to drive the entire transmission mechanism. The operation should be smooth and without abnormal noise. If the operation is not smooth, check immediately and troubleshoot. This step can be omitted after normal operation, but it must be strictly followed during the first run after new installation or maintenance.

During the operation of the screen, monitor the site and promptly remove larger obstacles that the screen cannot rake and debris that the screw conveyor cannot handle. Increase patrols and inspection frequency during thunderstorms and flood seasons.

Before starting any maintenance or repair work, disconnect the main power switch and ensure that it cannot be started by others.

Maintenance Procedures

During initial operation, monitor the temperature of the motor and gearbox each time it is run. If the temperature is stable, this can be extended to once a week.

Weekly: Apply calcium-based grease to the transmission chain, drive chain, and sprockets once a week.

Monthly:

(1) Clean the equipment and surrounding environment.

(2) Unblock the vent holes of the motor gearbox to ensure they are clear.

(3) Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.

(4) Add calcium-based grease to the guide rails once a month.

Change the lubricating oil for the first time after the gearbox has run for 300 hours. Remove all residual oil during the change. For subsequent changes, change the lubricating oil every 3 months if the gearbox operates continuously for more than 10 hours a day; change it every 6 months if the gearbox operates continuously for less than 10 hours a day. Use 150-grade industrial gear oil.

Shaftless Screw Conveyor

Operating Procedures

Operators should be familiar with the structure and working principle of the screw conveyor.

Ensure the motor power cord is connected correctly and the supply voltage is normal.

Check the shift log before starting the conveyor.

To operate the conveyor, switch to "Manual" mode. Turn the "Open" button counterclockwise and then press the "Close" button to turn it on; turn the "Open" button clockwise to turn it off. Observe the indicator lights during operation. To operate the conveyor in "Automatic" mode, start and stop are controlled from the central control room.

Ensure the lubricating oil level in the motor gearbox is correct, the oil quality meets requirements, and the vent is unobstructed.

During operation, no hard objects exceeding 30 cm in length are allowed to enter the conveyor.

Check for vibrations or other abnormal noises. If any are found, stop the conveyor and inspect it.

Before starting any maintenance or repair work, disconnect the main power switch and ensure that it cannot be started by others.

Maintenance Procedures

During initial operation, monitor the temperature of the motor and gearbox each time it is run. If the temperature is stable, the monitoring can be extended to once a week.

Weekly: Clean the equipment and surrounding environment.

Monthly:

(1) Check the lubricating grease in the bearings and add grease if necessary.

(2) Unblock the vent holes in the motor and gearbox to ensure they are clear.

(3) Check the oil level in the gearbox and add grease if necessary. Use CLP VG220 lubricating oil.

(4) Check the operating noise and vibration of the motor and gearbox.

Change the oil in the gearbox after 2000 hours of operation. Check the nylon gasket after 6000 hours of operation. Replace it promptly if the wear is excessive.
