Products Description

The MBBR filter media is an innovative product designed to provide a suitable growth environment for microorganisms, with a hollow structure serving as the packing material. By using scientific formulas to modify polymer materials through special processes, it offers several advantages, including a large specific surface area, good hydrophilicity, strong impact resistance, easy film formation, rapid attachment and growth of microorganisms, and excellent water treatment circulation. It has been widely used in various fields such as municipal sewage, industrial wastewater, rural sewage, and the treatment of livestock wastewater.

In the aerobic fluidized bed process, MBBR filter media acts as the aerobic biological carrier. The packing, with its hollow structure, operates by remaining suspended in water. Anaerobic bacteria grow inside the packing material, facilitating denitrification to remove nitrogen; aerobic bacteria grow on the exterior to remove organic matter. Both nitrification and denitrification processes occur during the treatment cycle.

Filler Addition Stage:

When adding MBBR filter media, observe whether there is any accumulation. If accumulation occurs, stop adding. Wait until the next day, then continue observing before adding more.

During the addition of filler, use intermittent aeration. Aeration can be continued at night, but the volume should be reduced.

After 24 hours of operation, continue adding water for 2-3 hours, and then resume the aeration process. After 48 hours of operation, observe the formation of the biofilm on the filler, increase the water flow, and extend the water flow time. Check the dissolved oxygen level in the pool, ideally maintaining it around 1.5-2.0 mg/L. After 72 hours of operation, inspect the water flow and gradually adjust it to meet the design requirements. Routine inspections of the inlet and outlet water quality should indicate that the design water quality requirements will be met within approximately 7 days.

Feature

Short biofilm formation time: The biofilm formation time is 3-15 days, which is 2 days faster than traditional methods and does not require prior cultivation of bacteria.

Special surface treatment: A larger and rougher inner surface enhances micro-cell adhesion, allowing for rapid biofilm formation.

Good hydrophilicity: Hydrophilic groups are added to improve biofilm formation and increase biomass.

Lower investment and operating costs: This system can significantly reduce the volume and footprint of processing system structures, saving infrastructure costs by up to 30% or more.

Surface electrification modification of MBBR biological fillers: The modified surface is ideal for the growth of most microorganisms, forming a long biological chain with minimal sludge production, which greatly reduces sludge treatment costs.

Removal of BOD5, COD, TSS, etc.: Effectively removes contaminants such as BOD5, COD, and TSS.

Durability in wastewater: Using copolymer materials, these fillers will not degrade or have toxic effects on microorganisms even after prolonged exposure to wastewater, making them superior to materials like polyvinyl chloride.

Special structure, one-time molding: The fillers are molded in one piece, ensuring structural integrity.

High specific surface area: Ordinary microorganisms have a specific surface area of 90-180 m²/m³. Hollow fillers can have a specific surface area of up to 600 m²/m³, and double-layer fillers can reach over 860 m²/m³. Due to their high specific surface area, the biomass per unit volume is high, achieving short hydraulic retention time.

High microbial activity: The microbial film growing on the surface of the filler is stimulated by fluidization and collision. Aeration flushing keeps microorganisms in a logarithmic growth phase, resulting in high activity and treatment efficiency.

Floating type, easy to replace, and long service life: The hollow fillers are designed to float, making them easy to replace and ensuring a long service life.

Strong ability to remove nitrogen and decompose organic matter: Achieves the goal of removing ammonia nitrogen and efficiently decomposing organic matter.
