Hyperbolic Stirrer

The hyperbolic stirrer is widely used in municipal sewage, papermaking, and chemical industries. The main engine operates smoothly, and the water flow trajectory can be observed in the radial direction. No fibers adhere to any submerged part, and mixing in every area of the tank is uniform, with no sludge sedimentation or dead zones, achieving a uniformity of ≥ 95%.

The hyperbolic stirrer provides an excellent mixing flow state. Due to the impeller's special shape, it meets the requirements for fluid diversion in both axial and radial directions. Utilizing axial pressure and radial centrifugal force, it generates two flow fields while minimizing power consumption. Its large specific surface area allows the impeller to achieve a high water flow rate, and the liquid pressure acting on the impeller provides a self-centering effect. During operation, it can self-correct and maintain stable, vibration-free performance.

 

Main Components
It consists of a reduction motor, damping support, mixing shaft, and mixing impeller. The reduction motor and integrated reduction device combine an asynchronous motor with a parallel-shaft helical gear reducer (hard tooth surface).

The motor is an outdoor type with IP55 protection and F-class insulation. It operates in temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +50 °C. The system is designed for continuous operation, and the stator winding temperature rise, measured by the resistance method, does not exceed 80 °C. Motors undergo dynamic balance testing at the factory to ensure vibration levels meet standard requirements.

The reducer gears are made of alloy steel with hard tooth surfaces and parallel-axis transmission, enhancing reliability. Reinforced bearings support impact loads during startup. The gearbox includes an oil level inspection hole and can operate continuously 24 hours a day.

Vibration Damping Support
The reduction motor is mounted on a base with a damping device, which absorbs stress from water flow disturbances, ensuring precise positioning, smooth operation, and extended service life.

Mixing Shaft
The mixing shaft connects the reducer to the impeller for power transmission. Stainless steel 304 or 316 is used to prevent corrosion. In special cases, the shaft can be wrapped with fiberglass or rubber for additional rigidity and corrosion resistance. Flanges at both ends of the shaft are welded and machined as a single unit to ensure concentricity and perpendicularity.

 

Bearing
The bearing service life is designed to exceed 100,000 hours.

Impeller
The impeller features a unique design. Water enters at the center of the impeller, reducing inlet turbulence and ensuring uniform liquid pressure across the impeller surface, which maintains balance during operation. Eight guide vanes are evenly distributed on the hyperbolic rotating surface. The impeller converts the potential energy of incoming water and centrifugal force from rotation into kinetic energy. The liquid accelerates along the impeller's circumferential direction and moves tangentially. Reflections from the pool wall create a circulating flow from bottom to top.

This structural design, combined with installation close to the pool bottom, achieves ideal mixing, effectively eliminating dead zones.

The impeller is made of high-strength fiberglass. Its guide holes prevent sludge deposition at the center, improving mixing uniformity. The hollow structure inside the impeller allows pressure differences between the inside and outside to generate upward and downward circulation, eliminating sludge accumulation at the impeller center.
