Products Description
The bar screen wastewater system features specially shaped tines made of nylon or stainless steel. These tines are assembled in a specific arrangement on the tine shafts to form a closed chain, with the lower portion installed in the inlet channel. When the transmission system drives the sprockets in a uniform, directional rotation, the entire chain moves from top to bottom, carrying solid debris from the liquid while the fluid flows through the grating gaps between the tines. This process operates continuously.
Due to the special structure of the tines, when they reach the upper end and reverse while carrying debris, a relative self-cleaning motion occurs between the front and rear rows of tines, causing the debris to fall off by gravity. A pair of offset brushes located at the rear of the machine ensures that each row of tines is thoroughly cleaned when it reaches that position.
Installation, Commissioning, and Precautions
When hoisting the rotary screen, the entire machine must be lifted using the top plate holes or the bottom leg eyelets with a wire rope.
Installation Position: The base of the rotary screen must be flush with the bottom surface, and the front end of the machine should be approximately flush with the front end of the trough.
Fill the foundation bolts with cement mortar. After the cement has completely set, tighten the nuts.
Before starting the machine, ensure that no large rocks or other loose debris are in front of the rotary grille. Remove any debris before starting the machine.
Screening Arrangement:
Large sewage treatment plants generally require two or more screens. The spacing between the screen bars should be determined based on factors such as the type of sewage, flow rate, and the type and size of representative debris to meet the requirements of both the pump structure and the subsequent water treatment equipment.
The first screen should use a coarse screen (50–100 mm) or a medium screen (20–40 mm).
The second screen should use a medium or fine screen (4–10 mm).
The third screen should use a fine screen (<4 mm).
Working Principle
When waste containing floating objects or debris larger than the bar screen gap is intercepted by the rake teeth, the intercepted material is lifted from the channel by the continuously moving bar screen. Upon reaching the slag discharge port, the debris falls into the conveying device under its own weight, aided by the specially designed structure of the rake teeth.

Main features
The drive device uses a cycloidal pinwheel reducer to rotate the tooth rake for slag removal, featuring a compact structure and stable operation.
The entire machine has a simple structure, is resistant to blockages, easy to maintain, and operates with low noise and low power consumption.
Simple to operate, it can achieve fully automatic control based on time and liquid level differences, providing a high degree of automation.
Product Applications
Mechanical screens are widely used as secondary screens in water supply and drainage systems, as well as at the water inlets of intake structures where there are no coarse floating objects. They can also be applied in industrial wastewater and municipal sewage treatment from industries such as papermaking, textiles, leather, brewing, and aquaculture.
